On hearing news that one family member in Mumbai, Devendar, may pass away anytime soon, his siblings rush down to be with him and his family for support.

However when the patient neither improves nor dies, everyone’s life is in a state of flux as they are unable to enjoy being in Mumbai, nor are they able to go back to their lives in their own towns and homes.

Given the fact that the final decision on the ancestral property rests with the dying brother adds to the anxiety. The film is a tongue-in-cheek look at what a typical family goes through when on the outside one is supposed to behave politically correct but from the inside, each one is desperately frustrated and restless due to the tormenting uncertainty.
